In this ham recipe I used a fresh boneless lean ham with no skin.. I did not score the ham, whenever I bake a lean cut ham with no skin it actually turns out juicier and tender without being scored because the juices remain inside the ham while roasting..
However, if you are cooking a ham with the skin on it, it’s better to score the ham so the fat can baste naturally making it more flavorful. Scoring a ham with no skin or with not much fat on the surface can do more harm than good..
The end result can be juicy inside dry outside. This recipe is simply delicious whether you have a scored ham or not.

How To Make This Honey Baked Ham
1. Take the ham and place it on a clean surface, cover it with the sliced pineapples while placing the cocktail cherries in the middle of each pineapple slice with a toothpick. (See Pic Below)
2. Place the ham covered with cherries and pineapples in a baking pan and pour the pineapple juice through out the surface of the ham.. Cover with a lid or aluminum paper and bake at (350 degrees F) for 30 minutes. You can start to make the honey glaze.Note
: For the honey glaze sauce you can make more if you wish. Make sure you keep some for later to baste. Personally I don’t like too much glaze on the ham but many people do. So I will let you decide how much glaze you need.
3. In a medium saucepan on medium heat pour 1 cup of honey, 1 cup of brown sugar, one tablespoon of molasses with one tablespoon of cloves. Stir until it turns into a caramelized liquid.. Pour 3/4 of the honey glaze all over the ham and keep about 1/3 for basting.
4. Bake at 350% degrees covered for 30 minutes, and another 30 minutes uncovered.. Baste or pour more honey glaze over the ham every 15 minutes. Enjoy the ham with the family!
